As a side note my godmother was a nurse in Vietnam she married my uncle and after the war moved to where I grew up and then later they moved to the west coast. We saw them off and on. My uncle became sick and passed away. She never told me was sick and  I was devasted when I found out about his death. That entire family is estranged with maybe yearly exchanges with my cousins.
