where were you

time.
I feel like I talk about it all the time.
What was I doing two years ago on 9-11? My heart was fully engaged and love was alive.
What was it like 18 years ago? Our little family waited for information together on our couch. Our lives changed that day forward.
I was in Iraq in 2009 and then in Afghanistan in 2013.
My thoughts from 2008 are the same today.
