small world stuff

This weekend I headed over to spend the day in Red Lodge

We hiked and ran into the Camp host - he tells us a story about his dad's involvement in the Gary Powers U2 flight - so of course I want to know more.

Then we pop into a artist gallery - and the gentleman artists tells about the Man Dan Indians in the Dakota's and the ceremony to call in the Buffalo.

He also suggested the book Journal of a Trapper: Nine Years in the Rocky Mountains 1834-1843 by  Osborne Russell 

Then we go to the Babcock and Miles Restaurant  and have this amazing IPA and these...dates stuffed with cheese and walnuts..

And then start an amazing book recommended by something new to me  The Solace of Open Spaces by Gretel ehrlich
