waffle

Admittedly, I wore my waffle shirt to work today. I walked early this morning at Garden of the Gods and packed clothes to change ,but once I got to work I had no desire to change.

The Level II Shirt is long sleeved with thumb holes and features a mid-chest zipper that closes to convert to a mock turtleneck. The neck also features a throat protection flap. The base of the zipper is reinforced with nylon webbing and for additional insulation the back of the shirt features a contoured long tail. The drawers feature an elastic waistband and access fly.

real conversations

Mom, I know you can do this if you would just get your crying under control....

nostalgia

Everyday is filled with nostalgia. Why? I do not want to forget anything how I lived for 9 months of last year Because I am certain it will never happen again.

trouble, trouble, trouble

I am in the torn place where I am living between mantras
*Live your life without Regrets
*“Associate yourself with men of good quality, if you esteem your own reputation; for ‘tis better to be alone than in bad company.” - George Washington
*NEVER Give UP (NFQ)

So, there it is. I am involved in a project that I have discovered I want nothing to do with. I am surrounded by a few people I have no desire to spend my time with. And I am  desperately missing the people I used to spend time with.
Marcus Luttrell told us last week honestly... not to spend time doing things you do not enjoy because life is short.  Life is short. I know that.

But we are now formed as a team and I cannot quit or let them down.

September cannot come soon enough.

example

Sometimes strange things just happen to me…

Prime example.

Yesterday, I grabbed the mail and the only thing that belonged to me was the TAPS magazine.

In haste I flipped it open to the this…

Written by Dawn Millard. Mother of Jeremiah Millard.  I got freaked out a little.
But then realized it was a different Millard. I had a brief ever lasting encounter with - PFC Erol Milliard More info.
I saw PFC Milliard in Farah, attended his ramp ceremony and his ceremony in Shindand.
He died at the age of 18 on the 4th of July 2013.

Two Milliard's giving their lives for our freedoms.

TAPS is such an amazing organization and I am looking forward to mentoring Memorial Day Weekend.
