J.S. Park: Hospital Chaplain

Author Website

J.S. Park wrote the book  As Long As You Need

J.S.Park is pretty amazing and I am grateful for him and the work he does.

J.S. Park is a hospital chaplain, author, and online educator. For eight years he has been an interfaith chaplain at a 1000-plus bed hospital that is designated a Level 1 Trauma Center. His role includes grief counseling, attending every death, every trauma and Code Blue, staff care, and supporting end-of-life care. He also served for three years as a chaplain at one of the largest nonprofit charities for the homeless on the east coast.

J.S. has a MDiv completed in 2010 and a BA in Psychology. He also has a sixth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. J.S. currently lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife, a nurse practitioner, and his three-year-old daughter and their adopted dog.

Late to the party

I just finished Bad Mormon.

I am late to this party but this was eye opening. It certainly provides entertainment and a look inside the veil.

Book Review

I don't assign stars, but apparently she is one. She has another book coming out soon.

All the Worst Humans

I am not sure what made me grab this while I was scrolling through the recent releases on Libby - but wow. That was good. I mean it makes since - PR is needed to influence the good and bad people.

Had all of the elements:

nonfiction/memoir

foreign policy

travel,

DC

Review

What I did not expect was the importance on suicide awareness and the snippet on US operators and the good they can do on the cusp.

Really Very Crunchy

I am not sure how I just discovered Really Very Crunchy but Emily Morrow is pretty amazing.

I loved everything she shares in the book and she prompted me on a few things about toxin that I needed to be reminded about. I love her five ingredients rule - if you are on a budget do not buy things with more than 5 items. It just makes sense. Also, appreciate her calling BS on all the companies claiming to be natural but it is whitewashing items.
